On the same note, I overheard another group of kids talking about drinking and combing alcoholic drinks with energy drinks such as Red Bull. Has anyone else ever heard of this?
MNBC featured an article earlier last week on kids getting buzzed on energy drinks. But some of the kids at my school seem to be taking this to another level. They drink and some have openly spoken about using marijuana.
Drunk, high, wide-eyed and full of energy. What a combination. What next?

I’ve heard of combining Red Bull and alcohol (particularly vodka) before, but had always heard that it was dangerous.

As soon as I heard about it I assumed that combining the two would be dangerous too.

I am ashamed to say that on Halloween weekend, I drank not one, but TWO “Red Bull and vodkas”. They are yummy – like liquid SweetTarts with a kick. AND my friend and I both were getting headaches and like the idiots we are, decided that since we RARELY drink (truly) and Red Bull has magical properties, it would help. Our headaches did go away and we ended up having a fun night, but talk about headaches the next day! The words “splitting” and “agonizing” come to mind! BTW – love the blog!

Teacher Lady you are too funny! I must have been living under a rock. More like an ever growing pile of papers that need to be graded. I’m glad others have heard of this odd pairing.

drinking vodka and redbull is in no way dangerous.
sure they’re not the best things for yuo but i work in club security and thousands of vodka redbulls are drunk in 35 degree dancefloors and there are no probs.
it is not a super highpowered drug, sure it’ll keep you awake but like most of these things the best energy drink is water, doesnt leave your mind awake and your body tired.
