Another year older and I think a little wiser. Years have passed since I first made my entrance into this world and I certainly have learned a lot, grown and changed for the better. You would think that would be cause for celebration and that today would be a happy day. Weather wise, it’s a beautiful day. But, it’s also kind of bittersweet.
You see, I was scheduled to see a co-worker’s doctor for a second opinion last Friday, but the appointment had to be re-scheduled for yesterday. And, when it was all said and done, the Doc told me that I wasn’t going to like what he had to say…….and I didn’t. What he told me kind of confirmed my one of my worst fears and I say kind of because I won’t have a definite confirmation until he performs a laparoscopy, which hopefully will occur within the next two weeks. Needless to say, I cried all the way home.
